Wow! That's a good size cutthroat trout! I've been fly fishing on the Coeur d'Alene River twice this year. We've had some luck catching cutthroat, but nothing close to 22 inches! Congratulations! Is it catch and release on the Blackfoot River?

The Blackfoot is a catch and release river for all Cutthroat Trout. You can keep any rainbows or hybrids but they are few and far between. I have caught one hybrid this year and the rest have all been native Yellowstone cutthroats.
